HairBow Project

Having a baby girl has inspired me even more to be crafty. I have an endless list of items that I want to try and give a whirl. This weekend I decided to try one that has been on my list for a while- a hair bow holder. We have some bows just waiting for some hair to put them in!

Old Window Project

There is a little store called On A Shoe String that I have passed many of times and never stopped. They always have old windows and doors out front in the yard and I always drive by wondering what I could do with them. I finally stopped in one day and ended up buying an old window. I have seen people transform old windows into many different things, so I decided to give it a whirl.
Here is my new "old" window...

10. A Message/ Mail Center- Looking for a place to put the mail, hang pictures, post invitations, write notes, etc.- I think we all are! These items tend to pile up in my house and go without a home. A Message/ Mail center is a great way to keep all of these things out so that you can see them.

A couple of ideas....

How to Make A House A Home #9

9. A Candy/ Cookie Jar- I am not always good at doing this, but I think it is so inviting and sweet to have a "sweets" jar in the kitchen. I don't know about you guys, but we love the sweets in my family. I am always wanting just a bite of something sweet after dinner.

How to Make A House A Home #8

8. A Place To Hang Your Coat- During those cold winter months when we have to wear coats all the time, it is so nice to have a place to hang them up and easily get back to them when you have to go out. This is also nice for all the other daily things we tend to carry with us- purse, work bag, diaper bag, etc. You can easily create a decorate and useful place to store all the things you need to get to on a daily basis.
Visitors will also appreciate a place to hang their belongings as well!

How to Make A House A Home #7

7. Doormat- An easy way to personalize your home is with a doormat. The front door is the first thing and the last thing visitors see when they enter your home. You can easily make this fun and creative by just adding a simple touch like a door mat.
